Ganas are sea creatures that are nonetheless humanoid and sentient. They prefer seperation from the other races, and live in colonies of a thousand or more. Carnivoric, with sharp regenerative teeth, claws stored in webbed extremities, and finely acute vision, they are fearsome predators, as well as powerful warriors.

Sexual differences

Ganas have extreme sexual dimorphism. Females mature very quickly, and after mating, will lay thousands of eggs, of which a tenth will usually survive after a year-long gestation period. Females produce new eggs within a week, and as reproduction is their only purpose, are the least intelligent.

Certain Ganas females will turn into males, increasing their lifespan and intelligence. Males outnumber females, and can only fertilize eggs five to seven times a year.

Certain males will lose their reproductive capabilities, once again becoming more intelligent and living longer. Ganas Eunuchs, as they are called, rule Ganas colonies, and act as diplomats to other nearby sentient species.
